What is iScore Resume Match? [Video]
iScore Resume Match is a time-saving tool that compares your resume against a specific job posting to determine how closely you match the listed requirements.
Many employers use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to filter out unqualified resumes that do not contain the right keywords – the skills and qualifications required to fill the role. iScore helps you get past the ATS by looking at the keywords in the job posting and the keywords in your resume to give you a score – a high score (100% being the highest) means you may be a great fit for the position and will sail past an ATS. A lower score indicates there are ways to improve your resume to increase your chances of getting an interview.
If you are a Premium member, you will automatically see your iScore for every job posting under each posting on the search results pages, and next to the job description when viewing the full ad. Simply click on the score to see the breakdown of which skills from the job posting’s requirements your resume is missing, sorted by importance. You can use this information to adjust your resume to better fit what the employer is looking for and get past an ATS.
Remember that just because you don’t have a high iScore, it doesn’t mean you’re not qualified for a role. If you have the required skills and qualifications but our tool doesn't recognize them, it's likely because the verbiage isn't an exact match. By adding in the exact keywords and phrases iScore lists, your resume will align more closely with the job, and you should receive a higher score.
