About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Packaging Mechanic to join the 3rd shift at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. In this role, you will maintain and optimize packaging line equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Set up, adjust, and operate packaging equipment according to validated parameters. Conduct preventive maintenance and document activities per cGMP standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns, working closely with the engineering team.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and improvements to meet compliance requirements.
- Operator Training: Train packaging operators to safely and efficiently use equipment, fostering their skill development.
- Continuous Improvement: Support machine modifications and capital improvement projects to enhance productivity.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to procure parts and schedule maintenance services.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Technical school degree or industrial certifications preferred; bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging environment.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in electro/pneumatic troubleshooting, PLC systems, SAP documentation, and industrial safety equipment. Welding experience is a plus.
- Certifications: Training in Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and Arc Flash safety procedures is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Capability to work on rooftops, ladders, and in confined spaces.
- Routine use of safety equipment, including eye protection, safety shoes, and respirators.
Shift:
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM 6:15 AM
