Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing auto logistics company seeking a reliable and experienced Mobile Auto Mechanic to join our team on a contract basis. You'll be responsible for traveling to various locations across New York City's five boroughs to perform routine maintenance and repair jobs. If you're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys independence and variety in your work, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to multiple job sites throughout the five boroughs daily to perform automotive services.
Conduct routine maintenance including:
Oil changes
Wiper replacements
Tire repairs and replacements
Brake jobs
Coolant system maintenance
Diagnosing and addressing Check Engine Light and related issues
Accurately document vital information for each job and submit daily reports to accounting and management teams.
Problem solve uncommon or complex vehicle issues in the field with limited supervision or resources.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal staff.
Use your own basic tools (sockets, wrenches, power drills, etc.); company will supply specialty tools (e.g., scan tools, uncommon equipment) as needed.
Follow all safety guidelines and best practices while performing mobile repairs.
Qualifications:
Proven hands-on experience as an auto mechanic or technician.
Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to solve non-standard problems efficiently.
Must own and maintain basic mechanical tools.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.
Comfortable working independently and navigating NYC efficiently.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must be available to work Friday through Monday, including weekends.
