Automotive Body Technician Jobs in San Diego, CA

An Automotive Body Technician plays an integral role in the automotive industry by repairing damaged vehicle bodies and body parts, from minor dent removal and repair to full body restorations. They also reconstruct vehicle frames and align vehicles, restore corrosion protection and refinish vehicle bodies and body parts. These positions provide foundational skills and knowledge about vehicle structures and repair processes, as well as hands-on experience in a body shop environment. In terms of qualifications, a High School Diploma or GED is generally required, with many employers preferring candidates who have completed postsecondary training in automotive body repair.
